Petrol Price Drops in India After Centre Cuts Excise Duty Last Month: Check Petrol, Diesel Rates Today

Gasoline Price, Diesel Today: The price of gasoline on Saturday, June 11, remains unchanged throughout India, while the price of diesel today also remains stable even when India’s crude oil basket has reached a height of one decade of $ 121 per barrel. The price of gasoline and diesel prices remain unchanged for around three weeks now, because Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman announced the excise tax on gasoline of 8 per liter, and 6 rupees per liter in the diesel earlier last month.

The price of gasoline in Delhi stands in RS 96.72 per liter and RS 111.35 per liter in Mumbai, while diesel is sold at RS 89.62 per liter price in Delhi and RS 97.28 per liter in Mumbai. On the other hand, the price of gasoline in Kolkata today was established in RS 106.03 after tax cuts, while diesel prices in the city stand in RS 92.76 per liter. In other places in the country, gasoline is sold at RS 102.63 per liter price while diesel is valued at RS 94.24 per liter.

On May 21, Nirmala Sitharaman announced Customs cutting on gasoline at 8 per liter, and 6 rupees per liter on diesel. Following the government’s decision, the price of gasoline was cut by RS 8.69 per liter while diesel was reduced by RS 7.05 in the national capital. Some other states also announced that the cutting of VAT obtained from the price of fuel was carried out after the Customs Cutting.

The price of gasoline and diesel has remained the same since May 22, after the Customs Cutting is applied. This apart from the Indian crude oil basket on June 9 touched $ 121.28, the level of matching seen in February/March 2012, according to data available from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) of the Ministry of Oil. International oil prices are held near the highest level of 13 weeks on Thursday, but down a little a day.

The price of fuel in India depends on the price of international crude oil, the exchange rate of the rupees of the dollar. In addition, the central and state governments collect various taxes including customs and value added tax (VAT) on gasoline and diesel. Commissions taken by dealers and shipping costs are also included in the price of fuel.
