MOTHERSON Sumi Q3 Results | Consolidated Net Profit Sinks 69% to RS 245.1 Crore

Motherson Summu system on February 11 reported a decline of 69.3 percent year-on-year in consolidated net income to Rs 245.1 Crore, which was above analyst expectations from Rs 191 Crore.

Additional companies automatically reported a 5.7 percent decline in the year in consolidated income from operations to RS 16,117.5 Crore, which was above the estimated road 14,794 crore.

“These results are an indication of our business resilience and our team’s efforts globally in challenging market conditions. While the shortcomings of the global supply chain have subsided in part, the challenges of higher costs remain,” said Chairman Vivek Chaand Sehigal in a press statement.

Consolidated Operation Profit Motherson Sumi rose 14 percent in the 1,383 crore RS for the quarter reported. Similarly, the company’s operating margin expanded 10 basis points in the year to year to 8.2 percent.

Samvardhana Mother Automotive Systems Group BV reported a 20 percent increase in revenue in the 1.3 billion euro quarter while the unit’s operating profit rose to 96 million euros from 71 million euros a year ago.

However, MotherSon Sumi’s debt profit deteriorated in the quarter reported as the ratio of net operating-to-operating profits rose to 1.4 out of 1.3 in the previous quarter.

The company’s net debt in the quarter was at 7,255 crore Rs by opposing Rs 4,807 Crore in the March 2020-21 quarter.

At 12:52 a.m., Summa’s shares fell 2.1 percent at Rs 176.6 on the national stock exchange.
