Loans support for the Union government field for states to reduce sales tax (VAT) for Bensel and Diesel, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor of Shacticanta Das on June 8 said that the cutting of PPN on fuel will help soften inflation and expectations.

The central government on May 21 cut excise tax on gasoline with a record of RS 8 per liter and that in diesel with RS 6 to provide assistance to consumers who were beaten by high fuel prices which also pushed inflation to the highest of all time. At that time, he asked the state to reduce VAT to provide further assistance. There is almost no country that reduces VAT.
