Market Roundup: Sensex rises 303 points, Nifty closes at 16,220; check top winners and losers

The domestic market ended higher for the third successive session on Friday, July 8. While BSE Sensex jumped more than 300 points, NSE NIFTY 50 rose above 16,200.

India Vix was captured to the level of 18.40. Metal and Realty are the only sectors that ended lower. Banking is the top winner. BSE MIDCAP and Smallcap Index Increased between 0.2 and 0.3 percent.

BSE Sensex rose to 54,481.84, up 0.56 percent or 303.38 points. In BSE, around 165 shares remain unchanged, while 1,378 shares declined and 1,897 advanced. L&T, Electricity Network, NTPC, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank are those who excel.

Tata Steel, Indusind Bank, Maruti, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Wipro are the largest Draggers.Power Grid: stocks soared 2.94 percent to RS 218.ICICI BANK: Stock rose 1.85 percent to RS 755.65.

NSE NIFTY 50 rose 87.70 points or 0.54 percent to 16,220.60. While 32 shares out of 50 sophisticated, 17 fell and one share remained unchanged. Bank Nifty received 203 points to 35,124.05.
