New Delhi: Airline tickets are about to be more expensive because the government has raised price cap on national airline tickets for the second time less than two months from 9 to 12%.
In a prescription dated Thursday, the lower limit for flights of less than 40 minutes of time was high from € 2,600 to € 2,900 – an increase of 11.53% by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

The upper cap for flights of less than 40 minutes has also increased by 12.82% to € 8,800.

Flights with a duration of between 40 and 60 minutes will now have a lower limit of € 3,700, from € 3,300, while the upper cap of these flights increased by 12.24% to € 11,000 to Friday. .

Flights between 60 and 90 minutes will have a lower limit of € 4,500 – an increase of 12.5%. The upper cap of these flights was increased from 12.82% to € 13,200.

Similar hikes were imposed on trips between 90-120, 120-150, 150-180 and 180-210 minutes.

However, the prices of actual tickets are likely to be higher than CAPS, as they do not include passenger safety costs, user development costs for airports and goods and services tax. .

This is the fourth hiking in air ticket caps this year. Ticket prices were revised in February, May and June earlier.

The government had presented the CAPS in May last year after the resumption of domestic flights according to the two-month CIVID-19 locking.

According to the government, the lower CAPPs have been imposed to help airlines fighting financially after the coronavirus crisis.

The upper caps have been imposed so that passengers are not charged with enormous amounts when the demand for seats is high, she said.
