GMR Airport Limited (GAL), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Limited, on Thursday said he won an offer for the development and operation of Kualanamu International Airport in Medan, Indonesia.
Angkasa Pura 2 (AP2), State-Owned Company and Offer Authority for Medan Airport has notified that they have completed the best and final evaluation process for the selection of strategic partnerships for Aerodrome and have announced the airport GMR as a winning bidder, a press release from the word GMR.
Medan is the fourth largest urban area in the country and is the capital of North Sumatra Province. GMR will enter partnership 49:51 with AP2 for this project.
The consortium will convert Kualanamu International Airport to the International Center of Indonesia, he said. The airport handles more than 10 million passengers in 2018. The project scope includes airport operations, development, and expansion for 25 years.
