State- run gas company GAIL on Friday reported a net profit of Rs crore for the September quarter, beating Street estimates by a wide periphery. The net profit was over87.1 percent compared with the formerquarter.The company reported a23.7 percent successional increase in profit to Rs crore for the three-month period.
Judges had anticipated GAIL to report a net profit of Rs crore over profit of crore for the alternate quarter of the current fiscalyear.GAIL’s earnings before interest, levies, deprecation and ammortisation (EBITDA) came by at Rs crore in the July-September period, as against Rs crore in the former quarter.
Its EBITDA periphery bettered to16.2 percent in the September quarter, from13.9 percent in the three months to March 31.
Judges had prognosticated the company’s EBITDA at Rs crore and EBITDA periphery at 15percent.GAIL shares ended1.1 percent advanced at Rs 149 all on BSE after the earnings advertisement. The caption Sensex indicator fell1.1 percent.
