New Delhi: Three controversial agricultural laws at the heart of massive farmer protest throughout the country for more than a year will be withdrawn, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today in an amazing announcement only for months before elections in countries such as Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
This step came at the teacher Purab Festival, when the founder of the Sikhism of the birthday of the Nanak teacher was celebrated, especially in Punjab.

“While apologizing to the nation, I want to say with a sincere and pure heart that maybe there is something lacking in our tapasya (dedication) that we cannot explain the truth, crystalline, to some of our brothers and sisters. Before the big climbing, the Prime Minister defended the law said that they were intended as reform, especially for small and marginal farmers in this country.

“Whatever I do is for farmers. What I do is for the country.”

Thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan have been camping outside Delhi since November 2020, demanding that “black black” be withdrawn. BJP has faced massive anger in northern countries, something that is unable to deposure a major election in the future, including the 2024 national poll.

Rakesh Tikait, a top farmer leader, said the demonstrators would wait until the law was revoked in a session from November 29.

The government said the law would eliminate intermediaries and increase farmer income by allowing them to sell anywhere in this country. Farmers argue that the law will expose them to unfair competition, let them be at the mercy of the corporation and eliminate it from the price of guaranteed for their products.
