New Delhi: Two people have been arrested for allegedly posting content into the judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court by the CBI, the days after India’s main justice said that the institutions “did not respond” when lower court judges complained about threats.
Overall, five people have been arrested in this case for allegedly defaming the judge. The first arrest in this case was made by the central body on July 9 last month. The latest arrest was made on August 7.
It was alleged that the defendant, intentionally targeted justice, made an insulting pole on the social media platform against judges and justice after several court verdict was delivered by them.
After the registration of the case, the CBI traced 13 of the 16 accused referred to as FIR in terms of various digital platforms. Three of them were found abroad. CBI has so far checked 11 out of 13 people accused and captured 5 of them. The search was also conducted by the CBI on the situation of people who led to the recovery of some burdensome documents.
The CBI registered this case in November last year under various parts of the IPC, including part 506 (criminal intimidation), and section 67 of the IT Law.
Chief Judge NV Ramana made a statement on the investigation institution on Friday when the court took the recent murder from Jharkhand district judges.
“The CBI does nothing. We have expected some changes in the CBI’s attitude but there is no change. Sorry to say, this is the situation,” said the Top Judge, asked the center to respond within a week for the petition delayed to protect the judge.
When the judge complained to the CBI and the intelligence bureau of threats, they did not respond, said the chairman of the Ramana judge.
“The agent’s investigation did not help at all and I made this statement with a sense of responsibility. I did not divulge more. Something must be done,” said Chief Judge Ramana.
“The CBI does nothing. We expect some changes in the CBI’s attitude but there is no change. Sorry to say, this is the situation,” Justice Chair added.
Jharkhand District Hakim Uttam Anand, 49, was killed on July 28 when a car crashed him as he ran early in the morning.
What was first believed to be a hit-run turned out to be much more evil because CCTV footage that appeared online showed automatically to the judge along the stretch of a quiet road and dropped it.
Judge Anand, who has handled many cases of mafia murder in Dhanbad, has refused a bail request from two gangsters.
