Smartphone sales declined in Q2, Canalys reported. Global delivery dropped to 287 million units. Samsung continued to lead, while Apple regained a second place from Xiaomi when a Chinese company struggled to respond to increasingly running low demand.
Samsung and Apple may have recorded a slight increase every year but Chinese companies that drag the entire market in red. China has a number of locking during this quarter, which disrupts its smart mobile market and injures local brands, which have a strong presence there.
Analysts estimate that the shortage of supply chains will no longer be an urgent problem for the industry because component orders are declining and suppliers are concerned with excess supply. This situation requires more than the company to adapt and plan it, including steps such as additional savings, and competitive products launched in the second half.
Predictions for H2 2022 are requests to remain weak despite the launch and sales of the upcoming festivals. Some of the main reasons are challenging business conditions from strong US dollars, geopolitical problems, Chinese companies that experience problems in main markets such as India, and high inflation worldwide.
