Residents from the Dutch Port City Rotterdam were not happy with the plan to temporarily dismantle the historic bridge to allow the Superyacht billionaire Jeff Bezos to pass.

A group of locals held an event to throw rotten eggs at the Superyacht founder of Amazon if finally forced the Rotterdam iconic Koningshaven bridge temporarily dismantled.

More than 2,800 people said it would appear for an event entitled “Throwing Eggs at Superyacht Jeff Bezos”. Nearly 10,000 said they were “interested” in the event on the Facebook page.

“Calling all Rotterdammers, take a box of rotten eggs with you and let us throw them in bulk at the Superyacht Jeff when sailing through HEF in Rotterdam,” the organizer said, Pablo Strormann.

The giant yacht Jeff Bezos, 430 million euros ($ 485 million) was too large for the iconic Koningshaven bridge, which came from 1878 and was rebuilt after being bombed by the Nazi in 1940 during World War II.

Shipyards Build Mammoth three in AllblasseDam, near Rotterdam, have asked the local council to remove the center of the bridge so that it can pass.

“This is the only route to the sea,” A spokesman for Mayor Rotterdam told the AFP news agency, adding that Bezos would brandish bills for surgery.

However, local media reported last Thursday that Rotterdam City authorities had not received permission requests while dismantling the bridge. The mayor denied any decision was made.

Bezos, 57, is one of the richest men in the world after changing the Amazon online book seller into a global shopping giant.

When not traveling by sea on the superyachts, he can be found to explode into space in the blue capsule.
