Fuel price on February 5: Gasoline, Diesel Prices Today in Mumbai, Delhi & Other City

Prices of gasoline and diesel remain unchanged on February 5 – Notifications released by state-owned fuel retailers show. There have been no changes for more than 90 days.

The last tariff cut is by Delhi which reduces local sales tax or value added tax (VAT) on gasoline from 30 to 19.4 percent from December 1 at midnight, dropping prices around Rs 8 to Rs 95.41 per liter. Diesel prices also remained unchanged in the national capital at Rs 86.67 per liter.

On November 3, the center has gone to deducting the deepest excise tasks to reduce retail prices from the highest record, reduce duty on gasoline by Rs 5 and in Diesel by Rs 10. Many States and the United Section follows the advantage of the Center to provide further assistance to consumer.

In Mumbai, cutting on November 4 reduced gasoline prices to rs 109.98 per liter, which remained unchanged. Diesel is at Rs 94.14 per liter.

In Kolkata, the price of gasoline and diesel remained at Rs 104.67 and Rs 89.79. Gasoline was at Rs 101.40 and Diesel at Rs 91.43 in Chennai.

Countries and union areas that have gone for VAT reduction after excise duties cut by the center include Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Sikkim, Mizoram, Daman and Diu, Karnataka and Puduchery.

Others include Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Gujarat, Nagaland, Punjab, Goa, Meghalaya, Odisha, Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Andaman and Nikobar, Bihar, Uttarata.

Those countries have not subjugated VAT including most of the government-ruled opposition such as Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu. TMC-ruled West Bengal, Kerala ruled left, Telangana LED TRS and YSR congress who were ordered by Andhra Pradesh also did not cut VAT.

Punjab, who was governed by the Congress, which was due to the election in March, had seen the biggest decline in gasoline prices after trimming VAT. The Ladakh Union area saw a decline in the largest diesel interest rate.
